About Our Organization:

RETAFO – Reforestation Task Force is a non-profit organization and non-governmental organization, founded by Berinyuy Emile in 2016, with the main target to bring sensitization and sustainability on climate change in the community.

We identify problems in our community and set up our departments to solve these problems and our focus was on promoting nursery activities with objectives to fight climate change Horticulture to beautify our environment, crop production  to increase food security, and animal husbandry for meat production in order to sustain our organization and to boost our societies GDP. We legalized our organization on July 14th, 2021. Registration Number NW/GP/004/21/16852

RETAFO is made up of a group of highly skilled  professionals who pays a lot of attention to small details and are dedicated to serving the society.

2016
Started the Organization

Almost a decade ago I started a company as one man in order to help the society. Not much later others came in through trainings I organized and are now a part of the team.

2019
Second Location

In the last few years, we grew very quickly, so 2019 was the year we opened a second location in Yaoundé. The new location started with five new landscapers.

2022
Total of over 30 workers

We now have a total of over 30 workers who work with us across the various sectors of RETAFO in not just the main branch in Bamenda but across the other branches in the county

RETAFO Mission

RETAFO engages in reforestation efforts, educating inhabitants and tourists on the impacts of climate change on agro-pastoralism and the importance of sustainable landscape management practices. Through a combination of analog forest activities, catchment development, and agroforestry practices such as market gardening, tree planting, animal production etc They aim at empowering communities and improve rural livelihoods. By promoting the use of native tree species and sustainable farming practices. We help to mitigate the effects of climate change and create a more resilient future for all.
